My solution to the 'treasures' my children bring in from the Great Outdoors, which look junky to me when placed on the bare table: get a paper doily, put it on a silver platter, and suddenly it is seems intentional and beautiful.

Omg. This is an awesome idea. I wish I'd known of this earlier. My future archeologist brings in what he calls fossils and rocks alllll the time. I thank u so much. Can i buy these dollies at walmart?
